1. Where are you from?
I was originally born and raised in San Diego, CA all my life until I enrolled into RIT.
2. What brought you to Ithaca?
Cornell offered me a teaching position and it was my dream to teach at ivy league university.
3. What do you do for a living?
American Sign Language Lecturer at Cornell
4. Do you have any party tricks?
Yes, I can do the beer bong game and flipping the beer cup game with a team
5. What's 1 thing a lot of people don't know about you?
I did the stupidest prank that got me arrested, released from the jail with three years probation
6. What's your athletic background?
I grew up playing softball as a catcher and third base player plus two years on varsity volleyball in high school
7. Where do you draw inspiration from?
Mostly my mom, she is the strongest person I ever know with all the experiences she has been going through. She always inspires me with all her encouraging words, quotes, positive thoughts and advice to survive in this life as a Deaf person.
8. What are your CF strengths?
I believe my strengths are back squat, front squat & thrusters with barbells & dumbells because my legs are strong.
9. What are some CF goals that you have?
Mostly, keep doing CrossFit until I reach into my 90s. Also, I want to maintain improving my functional movement training skills, improving my endurance and being able to do the butterfly pull ups & maybe one bar muscle up.
10. If you could write a workout, what would it look like?
I will call a new workout, "Nora"

15. Do you have a favorite book or author?
I am not into reading because words bore me andI am a visual learner so I prefer movies and TV shows over reading books.
16. If someone was hesitant about starting CrossFit, what would you tell them?
I will encourage them to try CrossFit for a week because I promise them that they will fall into love with the community once they step their feet in the gym. Also, I promise them that CrossFit will be their new happy place and a perfect place to blow off the steam.
