Moved here in 2016 and lived here until 2020 and then moved back in August 2024.
What brought you to Ithaca?
First time: School, Cornell
Second time: job at Cornell
What is your education in?
Master in Social Work as well as Public Health
What do you currently do for work?
UCC–Urgent Care Counseling at Cornell Health
I do counseling with students who are experiencing urgent mental health needs
What is your favorite part of your job and least favorite?
Favorite: My favorite part is seeing how intelligent, creative, and resilient the students are.
Least: It’s hard sometimes when people are suffering and you are helping them but you can’t solve everyone's problems and you aren't supposed to.
What brought you to Pallas?
Started CrossFit when I was in college and kept with it. When I moved back to Ithaca I remembered doing Festivus while I was in college at Pallas and decided to try this place out.
How long have you been a member at Pallas?
August 2024
What keeps you motivated to keep coming to the gym?
It's a part of my life, it's hard to replicate the feeling that you get from it mentally and physically and the people. After a long day, there is nothing better than spending an hour with awesome people and doing a hard workout. Helps relieve stress.

Last year I was a house mom for a sorority.
What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start at Pallas?
Definitely just give it a try because everyone is on their own journey and don’t let the workouts intimidate you, everything is scalable and you might just be surprised at what you can do.
