Looking for community upon moving to a new place. Before I accepted the position I did a drop in at my interview, and decided I could move here!

How long have you been doing CrossFit?
First class was October 2, 2022
First workout was called Liar Liar, accumulate 150 wall balls Every minute (starting at 0:00) complete: 5 Deadlifts, 225/155lb
What keeps you motivated to keep coming to the gym?
Mix of excitement for certain workouts and the discipline to show up for the ones that I don't want to come too and getting the motivation from the members in the class to keep pushing.

You volunteered at the CrossFit Games in 2023, what did you do?
I was a water boy, got to be on the field.
I got my sister the baby ABC CrossFit book and I got a bunch of the elite athletes to sign it for her, including Annie, Vellner, DB, Jacob Heppner. I was most excited to meet Jacob Heppner.
Tell us about your current research at Cornell?
Most interested in studying puberty in dairy heifers and what regulates that. Looking at different diets in the early phases of life and how that affects their reproductive development in adulthood.
How many calves have you delivered for your research?
45 so far
Hoping to get 110
Where is the coolest place you’ve visited?
I got to visit a bunch of Dairy farms in Ireland and Scotland and I got the visit the university where Dolly was cloned, it was pretty cool.
What book would you recommend to a stranger?
Sleeping Bear by Connor Sullivan

If you could live anywhere and money wasn't an issue, where would you choose?
The Outer Banks in NC
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people?
IDK, everyone knows that I like cows, I wear it on my sleeve and my clothes, hahaha!
What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start at Pallas?
Everyone here has their own personal goals that they are working towards, measure your progress against your own goals and not the person next to you.
Show up, work towards your goals, and support the goals of the person working beside you.
